Shells
Painting these shells as a tribute to my adopted state has become my signature creation.
My daughter and I gather the shells from Grapevine Lake in Grapevine, TX. I allow the shells to speak to me and guide my hand as I paint so that each design is truly unique. I like to include bluebonnets on the shell in tribute to the artist Porfirio Salinas, who gained fame from his paintings of the Texas Hill Country in springtime. They are a true representation of Texas.
